The number of organizations offering payment services has increased ten-fold in the past five years. But many of these players aren’t regulated in Canada, particularly when it comes to operational risk and safeguarding user funds. That’s about to change. In a keynote speech, Ron Morrow, Executive Director of Retail Payment Supervision, will talk about the Bank of Canada’s new role to regulate entities facilitating retail payment functions in Canada.
