Whitney Rockley is the Managing Partner of McRock Capital, a venture capital fund focused exclusively on the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). Whitney co-founded McRock Capital after investing in high growth tech companies targeting industrial markets for the past 20 years. She currently serves on the boards of Praemo(Chair), Invixium, and Miovision. In addition to being the first female Chair of the Canadian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (CVCA), she was the Chair ofDecisive Farming (acquired by Telus) and served on the boards of mnubo (acquired by AspenTech), RtTech Software (acquired by AspenTech), PPIC (acquired by Pure Technologies, which was acquired by Xylem), SpectraSensors (acquired by Endress + Hauser), and the Venture Capital Association of Alberta (VCAA). She also served on the advisory board of Ryerson's Centre for Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship. She was one of the key investors behind RuggedCom (acquired by Siemens) and an early investor in Silicon Energy (acquired by Itron) and Capstone (NASDAQ: CPST).
Prior to co-founding McRock Capital, Whitney was a Partner with a Zurich-based venture capital firm and Nomura New Energy Ventures in London, England. She has experience setting up and managing corporate venture capital programs. Having worked in London, Zurich, San Francisco, Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto, Whitney has an impressive global network.
