Kutral Veerabadran is a Principal at Flow Capital, where he invests in early and growth stage companies through non-dilutive structures. He has over 15 years of cumulative experience across Corporate Finance, Technology & Investment domains and brings to table a unique blend of global exposure having worked in six countries – US, Canada, UK, Hong Kong, Russia and India.
Most recently, Kutral led the FinTech and Innovation vertical for an IT MNC in Canada, prior to which, as the Vice President at Citi, helped execute marquee Investment Banking deals around the world. Before venturing into the world of business and finance, Kutral started his career as an engineer with Intel Corporation in California, where he worked in designing next generation digital components. On the investment front, he made his first investment in 2003 and went on to co-found two ventures and invest in two more over the years. In addition, he manages his own debt fund servicing SMEs in India.
In a parallel world, Kutral is a former professional athlete and a Guinness Record holder in the field of marathon swimming. He swam across the English Channel at age 12 and went on to win the Junior World Championship title in 1995.
Kutral did his Bachelors and Masters in Electrical Engineering at Anna University (Chennai) and University of Texas (Dallas) respectively. He rounded off his education with an MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Sloan school).
