Adam Schlesinger was appointed Chief Data Officer of National Bank on April 1st, 2015 with the responsibility for corporate data, analytics and artificial Intelligence innovation, strategy, build and governance.
In his previous role as Financial Services Director for Microsoft Canada, which he held from July 2012 to March 2015, Mr. Schlesinger was responsible for the global financial services sales, marketing and services go-to-market strategy & execution team for a Microsoft’s Canadian-based enterprise business.
Prior to this, he managed the global relationship between Microsoft Corporation and Goldman Sachs out of New York City. The partnership between the two companies encompasses investment banking, M&A, software sales, support & consulting and sustains a Microsoft team of over 50 employees over 16 countries.
In his tenure, Mr. Schlesinger spent time in various Account Management roles in the banking and capital markets verticals, spanning from Bloomberg, the New York Stock Exchange, Barclays Capital and Deutsche Bank. He also worked at Microsoft’s corporate headquarters in Redmond, WA where he ran various parts of the company’s sales strategy functions.
Adam Schlesinger’s approaches have often been recognized as best practices and his publication, Mitigating Container Security Risk Using Real-Time Monitoring with Active RFID and Sensors has been cited in numerous articles. He also co-edited a book in 2009 entitled Six Sigma for IT Management published in the Netherlands.
He earned his Masters of Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA and his Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He currently resides in Montreal, Canada.
