Cheryl Kerrigan is the Vice President of People for BlueCat where she is responsible for the overall people strategy focusing on attracting, retaining, and inspiring top talent. Cheryl is passionate about creating a culture of employee success where employees feel recognized and valued for the contributions they make.
With close to 20 years of experience in global Human Resources, Cheryl is a seasoned HR Executive who began her career as a recruiter focused on discovering exceptional talent.
She then moved into several HR Leadership roles as the initial HR resource in fast-emerging global technology companies, where she was responsible for building out the HR function.
Prior to BlueCat, Cheryl was the Vice President of Employee Success at Achievers. While at Achievers she was responsible for not only leading the Employee Success team but also for evangelizing why recognition and employee engagement is critically important for business success. Achievers enjoyed a successful exit by being acquired by Blackhawk Networks a publicly traded 2 billion dollar organization.
Prior to Achievers, Cheryl held an HR leader role at Eloqua. While at Eloqua, she was responsible for building out the HR function and strategy and attracting and developing talent. During Cheryl’s tenure leading talent, the business grew from $10M to over $100M in revenue, resulting in a successful IPO and eventual acquisition for $957M by Oracle.
Cheryl is a member of the of the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA) CHRO Advisory Council where she helps to advise the Association concerning the development, maintenance and stakeholder acceptance of its executive programs.

Cheryl earned her Honor’s Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Guelph and a postgraduate certificate in Human Resource Management from Seneca College.
